How do we deliver good food to food deserts? Changemakers Day August 29, 2008 Who would think that sometimes to SAVE a food - you have to EAT IT? Join in the dialogue as farmers, sheep producers and advocates associated with Renewing America’s Food Traditions initiative discuss why the diversity of place-based heritage foods matters and how you can help your local community renew, sustain and celebrate endangered food traditions. From the point of view of RAFT (Renewing American Food Traditions) founder Gary Nabhan and the perspective of Slow Food USA Ark of Taste chair, Poppy Tooker this panel will give attendees a first hand look at the compelling work of food recovery and how delicious the results can be.
