Rich Diet, Poor Communities: Real Solutions to a Real Problem
How do we advocate for, source, prepare and serve good food to people in need?
Changemakers Day
August 29, 2008

Food providers and activists discuss challenges and strategies for procuring fresh and sustainable food for lo- income and needy populations. Panelists discuss how legislation, economics, education, and accessibility intersect to determine the degree of food security in many communities. This cadre of food security advocates and front line resource managers discuss what the impact of changes in food streams are having on our communities nutritionally, economically, and culturally, and the dialogs that need to happen between food provider communities, farmers, and legislatures to bring food security to everyone.
