Industrial Food System News – Massive Beef Recall
February 21, 2008
The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the largest beef recall in its history on Sunday February 17, calling for the destruction of 143 million pounds of raw and frozen beef produced by Chino, CA-based Hallmark/Westland Meat Packing Company that has been accused of inhumane practices.
